The italian girl

SARA, 19

Turku, suomen persereikä

Hi, I’m one of Julias’ ”friends” (I think?) and she asked me to tell how I feel about Turku –I recently moved here from the amazing city of Grani.
I study fashion design (you can easily see that from my great taste of socks) here in Turku, and on my sparetime I play handboll with Julia. Yay (no, I don’t have a life!). When I was younger (last year) I swore I would never move to Turku…

What I knew about Turku from earlier was that it’s suomen persereikä, and that some people gather every year to jump on the main sqare so that Turku would detach from the rest of Finland. Now I’ve learned that Turku is much weirder than one can imagine… (there’s only one club people go to, and Julle doesn’t use panties, and Turku is like the biggest incest-hole in Finland, and they don’t like the way I talk, and they say snygg to things that aren’t snygg, and the girls give eachother very masculine nicknames, and there’s a stockmann here- even though everybody knows there’s only one REAL Stockmann: in Helsinki. Or well, you can count the one in Tapiola aswell).
Still I like it here. Maybe because it’s ok to be strange –they seem to think it’s sort of cool to be a bit different (not like where I come from, where you have to look and act like everybody else..-in Grani that is). I even feel quite normal??!! So, Turkulaiset (I believe it’s custome to finish up with some wise words?!), keep up the good work! Be your(weird)selves –or like my idol says in her crappy new song: ”baby, you were born this way”!
Puss o kram, långa S

This is my friend Sara, the coolest goalkeeper I know.
